The Amelia shawl is a lovely lacy design with only a two row repeat which is quite easy to remember so you can easily put your programs on or listen to some music and crochet away without much thinking. I added a last row to this as i felt you couldn’t really just end it on rows 3 or 4 and it have a finished look to it so i thought i might as well add an extra last row to give it a proper finished look which i think turned out great and it still flows with the pattern.

This pattern is written using US crochet terminology and i wouldn’t say it was a hard crochet pattern for beginners so if you are just starting out and know the basic stitches then you should give it a try.

Yarn:

For this shawl pattern i used Cascade 220 which has an AMAZING amount of different shades which i absolutely love when choosing yarn for projects. It is made with 100% highland Peruvian wool and is perfect for shawl projects as it blocks so nicely as it really opens up the stitch definition.

Question about row 2. “* Ch3, 1dc in next dc, ch1, skip next 4dc, ch3 *” Should it say, skip next 4dc, dc, ch 3?
