The bobble ripple shawl is a beautiful ripple shawl with the added extra bonus of bobbles and who doesn’t love crochet bobbles! I came across this stitch a little while ago and fell in love with it straight away as it’s so easy to do with one repeat row, once you get used to the pattern you could easily do this without looking at the written notes and can be done listening to your favorite music or watching your favorite program.
With this design i used a larger hook so it would really stretch out the stitch to make it more lightweight and airy as the bobbles would make it a heavier shawl especially because its worked as a rectangle. When blocking i found because i used a larger hook and a superwash yarn the shawl stretched ALOT so please bear that in mind when working your shawl as the stitches will open up loads, in my opinion not in a bad way, you may just need extra space when blocking.
Crochet Tip:
When you work the bobble stitches in this pattern you must work these very loosely as you will never be able to get your hook through all of the 9 loops on the hook!
Yarn:
For this shawl pattern i used Rico Essentials Merino DK. This is a great value yarn with beautiful stitch definition that is made from pure merino wool. This merino DK wool is very versatile and lightweight which makes it the ideal yarn for your next crochet shawl project.
The Rico Essentials Merino DK comes in a range of the most amazing colors and the best part is that this merino wool is machine washable. This is a superwash wool which means your project will stretch which is perfect for shawls!

Hi. Love this pattern. Is there a top & bottom border on this and are you repeating rows 1 thru 3 or just row 3? Thanks.
