Make this beautiful crochet gradient shawl today with my free pattern! My shawl patterns have been a big success with you lovely lot so i decided to design a very simple triangle shawl pattern. Now i know most crochet triangle shawls are done the same way but i wanted to design a crochet triangle shawl that was a bit different and it starts at the tip and worked back and forth in rows instead of working up one side of the triangle to the point and then back down the other side.

I love the looks of this shawl! I have started this shawl and found the pattern to be well suited for my ability. I have one question …..when the patterns says “dc in the first dc” I assume you are not referring to the one at the base of the chain 3. Sorry, but as I said, I’m not an experienced crocheter so these things always baffle me.

Hi there, no in the notes section it does say it doesn’t count as a stitch so you kind of just ignore that ch3 if that makes sense. The ch3 is there just to stop so much curling on the sides thats all.

      Best Wishes
