I made the whispering pines dishcloth with a single strand of yarn but if you wanted them really thick (which i know some people like) you can easily hold two strands together and just follow the free pattern below. If you do go with the two strands held together just note they will end up larger than mine and you will need to adjust you hook accordingly and you will need more cotton yarn to do this!

For this crochet pattern i do highly recommend that you block your work, everything looks so much neater blocked! It’s very easy to do and i have given you the instructions on how to do this after the crochet pattern.

I crocheted mine using three different colors but as i mentioned earlier you can easily find your favorite cotton yarn and crochet with the colors you love and that goes with your home color scheme.

Yarn:

For this project i used the Rico Creative Cotton Aran which is such a dream to work with, it comes in such an array of colors which are so fresh, vibrant and modern. You will need 93 yards for each dishcloth that you crochet.

Cotton yarns are perfect for crocheting Summer projects like this one.

  • 50 grams
  • 93 yards /85 meters
  • 100% Cotton
  • Machine Washable

Buy the yarn for this project HERE

Yarn Substitutions:

It is very easy to substitute this yarn all you would need to do is find a yarn that is 100% cotton and one that is either aran or worsted weight.
